In a two-phase operation in Guerrero state, Mexican authorities dismantled a clandestine lab, seizing over 300 kilos of methamphetamine and thousands of doses of other drugs. The damage to criminal groups is estimated at 309 million pesos.

Mexican authorities seized 300 kilos of methamphetamine this Saturday after dismantling a clandestine laboratory in the municipality of Técpan de Galeana, Guerrero. In a press release, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) reported that in a first action, in the La Cuadrilla area of the aforementioned municipality, approximately 300 kilos of synthetic drugs, 150 kilos of the same substance in the drying process, as well as 24,000 liters of chemical precursors and around 20,000 kilos of solid chemical substances were secured. The SSPC highlighted that in the clandestine laboratory, centrifuges, burners, gas tanks, 50 vats with a 200-liter capacity, two power plants, fans, mixers, water pumps, and various tools used in the manufacture of narcotics were also seized. The operation had a second phase where, during surveillance and dissuasion patrols in the vicinity of the Llanos de la Puerta village in the municipality of Petatlán, military personnel secured two plastic bags containing 1,300 doses of marijuana, 700 doses of cocaine, and 20 doses of methamphetamine. As a result of this intelligence work, Mexican authorities dismantled a clandestine laboratory, seized illicit material, and located more than 2,000 doses of drugs. «All material was disabled to prevent its reuse,» the document specified. The operation, divided into two actions, was carried out by elements of the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), in coordination with the SSPC and the Attorney General's Office (FGR), and caused an estimated economic damage to organized crime of 309 million pesos.
