
The Tamaulipas Carnival will take place from February 27 to March 2, culminating in Tampico. The city's Tourism Director announced that the parade will be held at the Laguna del Carpintero, in an area near the protected Historic Center. There will be prizes of up to 1.3 million pesos for the best comparsas.
The mayor of Altamira reported that the festivities will begin on February 27 with 'The Burning of the Bad Mood' and the coronation of the Queen and King of the Carnival, followed by a 3-kilometer parade the next day. Meanwhile, the mayor of Ciudad Madero invited everyone to enjoy the carnival at Playa Miramar on March 1 with shows and music.
The Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas emphasized that the state is an excellent tourist host and promised a safe environment for visitors. Approximately 50,000 people are expected to attend, mainly from the metropolitan area of Monterrey. Additionally, prizes will be offered in different categories, such as comparsas and floats.
The state government has guaranteed safety on the roads and during the event, with the presence of local and state authorities to safeguard residents and tourists. The 2025 Tamaulipas Carnival promises to be a reflection of the region's identity and a celebration of its traditions passed down from generation to generation.
