Tragedy in Teloloapan: Explosion Claims Three Lives

Three people died and 16 were injured on the night of Sunday, February 23, in Teloloapan, Guerrero, due to the explosion of fireworks inside a house. The Secretary of Integral Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) of Guerrero reported that among the deceased were a minor, a woman, and a man who were making fireworks in the San Andrés neighborhood.

The 16 injured individuals suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals for medical attention. The incident was reported at 6:55 PM via the emergency number 911, prompting an immediate response from operational personnel of the SGIRPC in the northern region of the state, in coordination with municipal authorities.

Teams from the Municipal Civil Protection Directorate, members of the National Guard, military personnel from the National Defense, and agents from the State Attorney General's Office also arrived at the scene.

On the other hand, in Mexico City, the Iztacalco mayor's office reported a fire at a factory located on Centeno Street in the Granjas México neighborhood. Firefighters managed to control the flames after 10:00 PM. Fortunately, no fatalities or injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Authorities continue to work on debris removal and cooling efforts in the area affected by the fire in Iztacalco.
