In Tepoztlán, a Magical Town in Mexico, a controversy has arisen due to a customer's accusation about the high cost of tacos at a local restaurant. The complaint went viral on TikTok, where a woman named Yaz shared her unpleasant experience when asking for the bill at a food stall in Tepoztlán, Morelos.
According to the woman, when she requested the bill, the price of the food was not shown to her and in the end, she had to pay more than three thousand pesos for five orders of tacos, two micheladas, and three sodas. Yaz was not as bothered by the money as she was by feeling that she had been taken advantage of by the vendors.
In the viral video, Yaz mentions that she was charged 335 pesos for one order of tacos and that she did not receive a receipt. In total, four orders of tacos and four sodas cost her two thousand 400 pesos. Although some people commented that she was exaggerating, others thanked her for alerting tourists about the high prices at that establishment.
Comments on social media included opinions like "Tepoztlán is overrated. Quesadillas for 200 pesos, what a horror," "good that you tell us so we don't go," or "Exactly! That's the place where they blatantly rob you." Some users mentioned that they had taken their complaint to the authorities and were supported.
