The Secretary General of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico in Querétaro, Erik Osornio, accompanied by the Mayor of Tequisquiapan, Héctor Magaña, and local deputy Sully Yanira Mauricio Sixtos, inaugurated the offices of the Secretariat of Infrastructure of the CATEM in the presence of various authorities. During the event, Osornio announced the opening of offices in the 18 municipalities of the state, aiming to organize truck drivers, dump truck drivers, and material suppliers for future infrastructure projects in Querétaro.

In particular, the recent opening of offices in the municipalities of San Juan del Río and Corregidora was mentioned as part of CATEM's strategy to prepare young people and new union leaders who can take charge in the future. Erik Osornio highlighted the importance of having a solid organization that represents Querétaro workers in the context of upcoming projects, including the construction project of the Mexico-Querétaro train.

In his statements, the union leader emphasized the relevance of establishing fair rates for workers and negotiating collective contracts that benefit both workers and employers. He also stressed the need for companies and the government to recognize CATEM as an ally capable of ensuring equitable working conditions and the efficient delivery of infrastructure projects.

For his part, the Mayor of Tequisquiapan, Héctor Magaña, praised the efforts of organizing workers and CATEM in seeking to improve working and economic conditions in the region. Magaña underscored the importance of ensuring that projects in Tequisquiapan benefit the local economy and promote the development of sectors such as transportation and construction in the community.
