The State of Mexico consolidates as an important destination for investment with the inauguration of the Distribution Center (CEDIS) in Texcoco by the Coppel business group. The opening of this center is part of the recovery plan for the region, and Governor Delfina Gómez highlighted that it is the result of joint efforts between the private initiative and the authorities to boost the economy and create opportunities for the residents of the State of Mexico.

At the inauguration of the CEDIS, Governor Delfina Gómez stated: "With the power to serve, we work to make the State of Mexico a development hub for the central zone of the country." During her speech, she emphasized that in the first year of her government, the entity ranked first nationally in job creation, with 88,700 new jobs, of which 40% were occupied by women, representing the best record in the last 27 years.

Agustín Coppel Luken, Chairman of the Board and General Director of Grupo Coppel, detailed that more than 1.2 billion pesos were invested in equipment for the distribution center, which will improve the speed of e-commerce deliveries, productivity, and the distribution of goods, generating more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs and contributing to regional economic development.

The CEDIS in Texcoco will cover an area of 124,000 square meters, equivalent to twice the area of the Zócalo in the capital. Governor Delfina Gómez highlighted the importance of positioning the State of Mexico as a highly competitive entity at the national level.

The opening of this new logistics center strengthens the role of the State of Mexico as a crucial point for new investments, which is reflected in job creation, the strengthening of local production chains, and the attraction of more companies. Coppel has expansion plans with the opening of 25 stores in different municipalities of the State of Mexico, with an investment of 320 million pesos.

The strategic location of the new Distribution Center in Texcoco will allow Grupo Coppel to take advantage of the logistical benefits of the State of Mexico, consolidated as a key node in transport and distribution at the national level. The group stands out in retail in Mexico, focusing on financial inclusion and product diversification.
