The authorities of the municipality of Tolimín inaugurated a new exhibition at the 'Punto México' of the state Tourism Secretary. Throughout the month of February, traditional products from the semi-desert area will be available for purchase. Among the offered products are typical guava sweets, dolls, toys, clothing, and other characteristic items of the region.
The municipal president, Alejo Sánchez De Santiago, led the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition. During his speech, he invited those present to visit Tolimín and discover all the wonders the municipality has to offer. He emphasized the importance of knowing the unknown and appreciating the cultural and landscape richness that defines the region.
Sánchez De Santiago also announced that throughout February, Tolimín will be recognized as the 'Capital of Romance.' This initiative aims to boost the municipality's tourism sector, in connection with the celebrations for Valentine's Day. Additionally, he informed that on February 21, various cultural events will take place in Tolimín in commemoration of the International Day of Indigenous Languages.
