The Total Nearshoring Solution (TNS) project in Mexicali aims to position the city as the "capital of nearshoring" in Mexico, with an emphasis on education, infrastructure, and competitiveness. The recent decree to promote nearshoring represents a great opportunity for Mexicali, which has been working on its TNS strategy for some time. The fuel change of the CFE thermoelectric plant in Tula de Allende, from fuel oil to natural gas, is part of the efforts to improve the environmental situation in the region. Through an investment in a train that will connect Hidalgo with the metropolitan area of the Valley of Mexico, it is expected to benefit over 100 thousand local inhabitants.
