The case of the newborn abandoned in Tultitlán has shocked public opinion due to the cold and cruel attitude of Lucio and his partner Diana towards the baby. In messages that included audio, a concerning conversation was revealed in which Diana expressed her desire for the baby to cease to exist, while Lucio suggested getting rid of him quickly.
In light of this evidence, the authorities pointed out the cruelty and insensitivity with which both decided to abandon the minor on the street. In one of the leaked conversations, Diana suggests to Lucio to throw the baby into some canal, to which he coldly responds, indicating that he should make him disappear upon returning home.
Dulha, Lucio's mother, took a firm stance on the matter, emphasizing that she did not raise an animal and presented her son to the authorities as soon as she became aware of the events. She stressed the importance of Lucio taking responsibility for his actions and showed no intention of facilitating his bail, emphasizing the need for him to face the consequences of his acts.
After the paramedics' intervention, the baby received medical attention and was transferred to the Bicentennial Independence High Specialty Regional Hospital, where he was able to recover. Despite the terrible situation, the baby's maternal grandmother, Dulha Utrera, gained custody of the child upon being discharged from the hospital after being under observation for seven days at ISSSTE.
