In Tultitlán, State of Mexico, a garbage collector found the lifeless body of a newborn baby inside a plastic bag. According to local media, the events occurred around 3:00 PM, when Mr. Maurilio was checking the garbage bags and discovered the baby.
"Maurilio told the media: 'It's sad and I'm also worried that they might take my cart that I work with,' and he said he immediately alerted the authorities," it was mentioned. Municipal police and paramedics arrived at the scene, confirming that the baby, who was just a few months gestation, showed no vital signs.
The Public Prosecutor's Office cordoned off the area and conducted the initial visual inspections, determining that the body of the minor was hidden inside the plastic bag. After concluding the proceedings, the body was ordered to be removed, and an investigation file was opened for the crime of homicide.
Later, it was reported that the authorities managed to identify and arrest a young woman who admitted to being the mother of the baby. The woman was taken to the Women's Prosecutor's Office in Cuautitlán Izcalli, where she is expected to give a statement about the events.
