Actress Discovers Protected Coral in Tulum

Actress Stefy Xipolitakis came across part of a coral while collecting stones on the beach in Tulum and described it as the best memory she could have. Her followers quickly explained to her that in Mexico it is illegal to collect or damage marine fauna, including coral. In light of this, Stefy decided to leave the piece and opted to collect stones as a souvenir from the place.

In a video shared with her followers during her trip to Mexico, Stefy revealed that her sister Vicky had made some unusual requests for souvenirs. Upon learning of the illegality of taking coral, Stefy confirmed that she would only bring stones as a memory from Tulum, to avoid legal issues related to the trafficking of wildlife and flora in the country.

In Mexico, corals are considered a protected resource due to their crucial role in the marine ecosystem. Those who violate environmental laws could face severe penalties and criminal actions. Stefy joked about the situation, mentioning that she had also been asked to bring a coconut, although she ruled out this idea to avoid problems at the airport.
