Federal Operation in Tuxtla Gutiérrez Leads to Seizures

The Attorney General's Office of the Republic (FGR) conducted a raid on a property in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, securing vehicles known as 'monsters', weapons, cartridges, and magazines of different calibers. The search warrant was requested by the Federal Public Ministry and authorized by a Control Judge of the Federal Criminal Justice Center. Elements of the Federal Ministerial Police and the AIC complied with the order.

Authorities confiscated a total of 29 vehicles, including two 'monsters', four motorcycles, 64 long guns, 578 magazines, and 1,196 cartridges of various calibers. Additionally, they found 70 boxes of cartridges, seven tactical vests, nine vehicle plates, among other items. All seized items were handed over to the Federal Public Ministry for the continuation of the investigation against those responsible.

The FGR reported that it is investigating crimes related to the possession of firearms and the possession of cartridges and magazines exclusively for the Armed Forces.
