
The body of a woman was found with signs of violence and burned on Avenida Los Alpes in the Fraccionamiento Los Alpes in the municipality of Unión de San Antonio. The Jalisco State Prosecutor's Office has initiated an investigation under the femicide protocol to clarify this tragic event. The discovery took place around 2:10 PM on Tuesday, October 21, when the municipal police received a report through an anonymous call alerting about the presence of a deceased and burned person on the public road.
After confirming the fact, the authorities cordoned off the area to preserve evidence and carry out the Standardized Police Report, according to the instructions of the state prosecutor's office. The victim, whose identity is still unknown, was wearing women's underwear, a burgundy sweatshirt, black denim pants, and sports shoes. Additionally, a piece of wood and a partially burned white HDMI electrical cable were found at the scene, which will be part of the investigation.
Agents from the Regional Prosecutor's Office of District III have begun investigations to clarify the events, and the intervention of experts from the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences has been requested to collect evidence at the scene. Furthermore, personnel from the Forensic Medical Service were responsible for transporting the body to the regional amphitheater to carry out the necessary studies to determine the precise cause of death and the identity of the deceased. In this regard, the State Prosecutor's Office has already started an investigation file according to established procedures.
