In Veracruz, during the last month, 70 people reported missing were found. Of them, 20 were men, all alive; 15 women, one of whom unfortunately passed away; and 35 minors. However, 44 individuals remained unlocated.

The missing family consists of Jesús Alcántara García and Leticia Chama Palacios, the couple; Ángeles Alcántara Chama, their daughter; and Imelda Palacios, maternal grandmother. They were last seen on February 18 at the Las Brisas subdivision in Veracruz, around 12:30 PM. So far, no official bulletin has been issued by the State Commission for Search in Veracruz to find the missing family.

The family’s acquaintances and collectives share contact numbers on social media, such as 2294628047 and 911, to provide relevant information that may help locate the missing individuals. It is unknown if an official complaint has been filed with the State Attorney General's Office regarding this case.

The incident involving the Alcántara Chama family occurred shortly after the disappearance of Alba Mónica Ramírez Becerro and her husband Bibiano Toledo Castro on January 14, 2025, in the same city of Veracruz. According to the National Registry of Missing and Unlocated Persons, 586 people were reported missing in Veracruz in 2024, with over 7,000 active search reports, placing the state fourth in the highest number of unlocated individuals.

The State Commission for Search in Veracruz mentioned that in January 2025 alone, 114 people were registered as missing in the entity, of which 45 were men, 22 women, and 47 minors.
