In the municipality of Villaflores, Chiapas, a confrontation between alleged criminals and state and federal security forces was registered, resulting in the death of two aggressors and the detention of seven individuals, according to the People's Security Secretariat. The incident took place when a group of armed civilians opened fire on agents during a patrol in the towns of Doctor Domingo Chanona and Bellavista.

In the words of the state authority: "Elements of the interinstitutional forces during prevention patrols, crime deterrence, and social proximity in the towns... were attacked with firearm projectiles by civilians." In response to the aggression, the agents returned fire, resulting in the death of two individuals and the detention of seven others, identified as Arisandy, Roni, Eduardo, Alan, Juvenal, Martín, and Víctor.

It has been reported that these individuals were carrying eight long guns, two handguns, eight magazines, and cartridges of various calibers, as well as two vehicles, motorcycles, and tactical equipment. The governor of Chiapas, Eduardo Ramírez, indicated that the captured individuals are members of a criminal cell involved in homicides and extortion.

The operation involved elements of the Immediate Reaction Force Pakal (FRIP) and the State Preventive Police (PEP), along with the Ministry of Public Affairs Investigation and Intelligence Agency, the Mexican Army, and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection.
