In the municipality of Zacatepec, in Morelos, a 36-year-old man was arrested for selling drugs from a grocery store that he used as a front. The illegal activity of the individual was discovered thanks to an anonymous complaint that triggered an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC).
The AIC carried out surveillance of two commercial premises located on Lorenzo Vázquez street in the Miguel Alemán neighborhood, which appeared to sell dairy products, cold meats, a creamery, fruits, and vegetables, but were actually engaged in drug trafficking. With the information collected, the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Strategic Operations Center (COE) obtained a judicial order to intervene in the property.
The operation to arrest the suspect, identified as Sergio 'N', as well as to seize 20 doses of crystal meth, a digital scale, and two glass pipes, involved elements from the Secretariat of National Defense, the National Guard, the AIC, and forensic services. Both the detainee and the illegal substances seized were placed at the disposal of the COE to continue investigations into crimes against public health committed to the detriment of society.
