In the context of various events dedicated to commemorating International Women's Day, the CIEN project has decided to expand its scope in 2025 to honor Jalisco women who contribute to cultural management in the state. Although the list has been limited to a hundred women on this occasion, the project's director, Ana Karen Martínez, assured that those who were not selected also deserve recognition.

The award ceremony for "One Hundred Jalisco Women Promoting Culture 2025" will take place on Wednesday, March 5, at the Centro Cultural Constitución in Zapopan, Jalisco, at 7:30 PM. The event will feature musical participation from Sofish and the Zapopan Municipal Choir.

The goal of this recognition is to highlight the work in favor of cultural development in Jalisco by women who have distinguished themselves in different areas, such as art, culture, politics, and journalism. One of the women to receive this recognition is Gabriela Acosta, a collaborator of Publimetro México, with a extensive 13-year career at Publimetro Guadalajara.

Alongside Gabriela, other women being recognized include figures such as Rosario Bareño Domínguez, Elvira García, Gabriela Aguilar, Lorena Jiménez, Rebeca Pérez, Marisa Lazo, Michelle Freyra, Colectivo Mirada Tapatía, and Verónica Delgadillo, among others.

The CIEN project, mostly made up of women and in collaboration with Cultura Zapopan this year, aims to award women whose commitment has contributed to the cultural development of Jalisco from various spheres. The initiative, which has been recognizing songs produced in Jalisco for eight years now, seeks to highlight the work and dedication of these women in the cultural field.
