In a panel moderated by Eduardo Osuna, the challenges and opportunities of the tourism sector in Mexico were discussed. Jalisco stands out as an emblematic destination representing Mexican culture through charreada, mariachi, and tequila, occupying important positions in the economy and tourism of the country.
Governor Lemus explained the importance of attracting investments through energy guarantees, public safety, and talent development. Jalisco is ideal for culinary, medical, sports, business, and leisure tourism, with Puerto Vallarta as an attractive destination for cruises and tourism.
The state boasts its cultural, natural, and historical heritage, with 12 Magical Towns, products with designation of origin, and a focus on audiovisual tourism. Jalisco also stands out in creative industries, generating jobs and significantly contributing to the national GDP.
Lemus Navarro mentioned the ambitious goal of making Jalisco a leading technological and economic center in Mexico, with initiatives such as the installation of a Data Center and the relocation of companies. Additionally, work is being done on expanding airport infrastructure to support the region's tourism and economic growth.
In Madrid, Governor Lemus participated in a panel alongside other state leaders and the Federal Secretary of Tourism to discuss the future of the Mexican tourism sector. Jalisco's presence at such events aims to position the state as a leading destination in tourism and entertainment both nationally and internationally.
