A supposed case of corruption in the housing credit sector has caused concern and mistrust among hundreds of families in Mexico. The situation has left several housing projects unfinished or not started in states such as Quintana Roo, Yucatán, Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, and Mexico City.
Authorities are conducting an investigation to clarify the facts and ensure that those affected recover what they lost. In a statement, a call was made to Infonavit to collaborate closely in this case and prevent the alleged fraud from going unpunished.
As part of the investigation, access to detailed information about the individuals responsible for the companies involved in the diversion of resources intended for housing construction has been requested from the regional Infonavit in Yucatán. It is estimated that the damages are considerable, although the exact number of victims has yet to be determined.
According to the Attorney General's Office (FGR), the company Yavo Capital, led by Víctor Hugo Rosales Aranda and Olga Lidia Aranda Salas, is identified as one of the main parties involved in the alleged diversion of resources. A formal investigation has been initiated under case file FED/YUC/MER/0000614/2024. There are concerns about a possible escape of the individuals responsible to evade justice, which has increased tension among those affected.
"We fear they are preparing to leave the country and evade justice," said the legal representative of the victims. Uncertainty and mistrust prevail among the affected families, who demand a prompt resolution to this case to recover what they lost and restore confidence in the management of housing credits.
