
During the past year, job offers in Nuevo León (NL) were mainly led by the manufacturing sector, representing 35% of the total positions offered on the OCC platform. This was indicated by David Centeno, deputy director of strategic planning for the online job board. In the 2024 labor market report presented by OCC, 89,428 job offers were recorded in Nuevo León from January to December.
Centeno emphasized that these job offers represented 16% of the total offered on the OCC platform, positioning Nuevo León as the second state with the most available positions after Mexico City. The executive mentioned that, with 16% of employment offered at the national level, the state ranked above the State of Mexico, Jalisco, and Querétaro.
The deputy director indicated that, according to the report, the state met its employment generation targets set by the organization Mexico ¿Cómo Vamos?, maintaining its State Traffic Light green at the end of the first semester. Of the offers on OCC, 31,300 corresponded to the manufacturing sector, followed by repair and maintenance services, information systems and technologies, and financial and insurance services.
Among the areas that demanded the most jobs in Nuevo León are sales, administration, accounting-finance, logistics, manufacturing-production, and information technologies. The 10 most requested positions in 2024 varied, from accounting assistant to operations manager.
Some of the companies with the highest presence in job offers in Nuevo León during the first semester of 2024 include Banca Afirme, Capacidades Humanas y Organizacionales, Teleperformance, and more. Regarding the offered salaries, 14% of the offers were in the range of 5,000 to 10,000 pesos; 42% exceeded 20,000 pesos, and 44% were between 10,000 and 20,000 pesos.
