El Marqués will build a parking lot and macroplaza

The municipal president of El Marqués, Rodrigo Monsalvo, announced an investment of 300 million pesos for the construction of an underground parking lot and a macroplaza in the center of La Cañada. This project is part of municipal actions aimed at renewing the municipal headquarter area, with the goal of turning it into a tourist destination and boosting the local economy.

According to the mayor, the parking lot will be located behind the San Pedro La Cañada parish. The first phase of this construction will have an approximate cost of 200 million pesos, after which the macroplaza will be placed on top. The parking lot is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

The mayor mentioned that once the construction is finished, a socialization exercise will be carried out to define the use that will be given to the macroplaza. Monsalvo expressed his interest in involving the citizenry in this process, with the intention of meeting the needs and preferences of the residents of El Marqués.

Since the beginning of his administration, La Cañada has experienced various improvements, such as maintenance work and the installation of underground wiring. The investment in the underground parking lot and the macroplaza seeks to enhance tourism and mobility in the area, as well as generate greater economic activity that benefits the residents of the municipality.
