
In May 2024, employees of what used to be Bansefi were surprised not to receive the traditional profit-sharing distribution. They were informed that due to austerity measures, this distribution would not take place, which generated discontent among the workers. Additionally, it was revealed that several types of loans to employees had been eliminated, which was perceived as a lack of consideration by the management.
One of the interviewed employees expressed their discontent with the situation, highlighting that the decisions made by the administration of Banco del Bienestar, formerly Bansefi, seemed unfair and detrimental to the workers. A hostile treatment towards the employees was pointed out, who, in addition to losing job benefits, faced unjustified layoffs without severance pay.
The austerity policies adopted by the Banco del Bienestar administration were questioned, especially in a context where million-dollar losses had been recorded in previous years. Employees expressed their dissatisfaction and concern about the labor situation they were going through, emphasizing that the lack of support and the reduction of benefits affected their quality of life.
Amid criticisms of the administration and the decisions made, situations of labor abuse and pressures towards employees to limit their benefits were revealed. A banner was even placed accusing some executives of labor abuse, which evidenced a tense atmosphere within the institution.
Workers expressed their discomfort and discontent with the current situation, highlighting the importance of defending labor rights and transparency in internal decisions. The final moral emphasized the importance of not staying silent in the face of labor injustices and the need to maintain freedom of expression and denunciation.
