
The Secretary of Welfare, Adriana Montiel Reyes, announced that the registration for the pension for seniors and persons with disabilities will take place from February 17 to 28, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This process, which occurs bi-monthly, aims to guarantee access to pensions for those who meet the established requirements.
The registration schedule is divided as follows: Mondays, February 17 and 24 will be for last names A to C, Tuesdays, February 18 and 25 for the letter I to M, Wednesdays, February 19 and 26 for N to R, Thursdays, February 20 and 27 for S to Z, and Fridays, February 21 and 28 will be open for all. Additionally, Saturdays will be open for those who cannot attend during the week.
Adriana Montiel Reyes mentioned that the pension for seniors applies to men aged 65 and older and women aged 63 and older. For persons with disabilities, the pension will be universal in most states, except for some where it is available for individuals up to 30 years old.
On this occasion, the investment in the senior pension program amounts to 76 billion pesos, benefiting more than 12.2 million people. Likewise, the Women Wellbeing program has reached nearly one million women with an investment of 2 billion 473 million pesos. The program for persons with disabilities had an investment of 4 billion 381 million pesos, benefiting 1.37 million people.
Montiel Reyes also mentioned the Sembrando Vida program, which has to date benefited 426,616 farmers with an investment of 2,752 million pesos this month. In total, during the months of January and February, these Wellbeing programs have benefited 15.2 million people, with an investment close to 86 billion pesos.
