
In the face of uncertainty in global trade rules, the Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon, presented the "Made in Mexico" Promoter Council this Wednesday. This initiative aims to strengthen national production, reduce unnecessary imports, and position the country in international trade negotiations.
During the event, Ebrard highlighted that the program is part of the Mexico Plan, designed to tackle global challenges and seize future opportunities. The Secretary emphasized that the goal of this effort is for Mexico to move forward, remain united and cohesive, regardless of the challenges.
"Made in Mexico" not only seeks to protect the national industry, but also to project the country as a leader in various sectors, from advanced manufacturing to the creative industry. Ebrard mentioned significant technological advancements, such as the manufacturing in Querétaro of key components for aircraft turbines, including complex alloys.
The Secretary of Economy announced that he will travel to Washington to meet with his American counterparts and stated that he will carry the "Made in Mexico" label as a symbol of the country’s industrial and technological strength. His goal is to position Mexico to protect and expand its presence in the international market.
For his part, Francisco Cervantes Díaz, president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), praised the initiative and emphasized the importance of increasing national content at a time of adjustment in trade relations. He highlighted that it is the time to triple export capacity and praised Ebrard's negotiating skills, valued in Washington.
