The Government of the State of Mexico has launched a scholarship program for students interested in pursuing master's and doctoral studies in Germany, offering financial support and benefits.


New Scholarship Program for Studies in Germany

The Government of the State of Mexico has launched a new scholarship call for Mexiquense students interested in studying in Germany. The program, coordinated by the Secretariat of Education, Science, and Innovation (SECTI) and the Mexican Council of Science and Technology (COMECYT), in collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service, offers financial support for master's and doctoral degrees.

According to the information provided by the Secretariat of Education, Science, and Innovation of the State of Mexico, beneficiaries of these scholarships will receive a monthly amount of $22,000 pesos for master's (for 24 months) and $27,000 pesos for doctorate (for 36 or 48 months). Additionally, the scholarship covers health insurance, an intensive German course, and support for visa procedures.

Among the requirements to apply are residing in the State of Mexico, having a bachelor's degree not older than six years, not being a beneficiary of another academic scholarship, having a minimum GPA of 8.0, and proving proficiency in English or German. Areas of study include Health Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, Humanities, and more.

The reception of documents will be open until April 4. Selected candidates will be notified via email starting April 14, while the evaluation of applications will take place from May 6 to May 23. The results will be published on May 30, and the formalization of the scholarship will take place from June 2 to June 13.
