Acería Ramos from Grupo Deacero has implemented the Green Office program, achieving over 300 million pesos in savings by promoting environmentally responsible practices. The program encourages energy efficiency and waste reduction, fostering a culture of sustainability among employees.


Acería Ramos Achieves Green Office Certification

In 2013, the Ramos Steelworks of Grupo Deacero implemented the Green Office Program with the aim of generating savings and reducing input consumption in its offices to promote environmental protection. Currently, it is estimated that the efforts made have generated savings of more than 300 million pesos, according to estimates from the Government of Coahuila.

The Secretary of the Environment of the Government of the State of Coahuila awarded the Ramos Steelworks the compliance certification as a Green Office in a ceremony held at the ITS Technological Auditorium. The program, which has the main objective of generating savings and reducing inputs, focuses on efficiency in the use of electrical energy, water, office and cleaning materials, fuel, responsible maintenance of the vehicle fleet, as well as the reduction and separation of waste.

The company highlighted that the Green Office Program seeks to foster a participatory culture among collaborators and promote responsible environmental practices. Eladio Martínez Gamboa, Human Relations Manager of the Ramos Steelworks, expressed upon receiving the certification that "for Grupo DEACERO this effort is a concrete demonstration that the commitment to sustainability is an integral part of operations and is a fundamental part of daily activities in all workplaces."
