The government of Nuevo León allocates resources to SMEs and renewable energies, betting on tourism for the World Cup and strengthening the local economy with regional brands.

Nuevo León promotes financing and tourism

Despite global uncertainty and the possibility of tariffs from the United States, European companies and those with expansion plans in North America are maintaining their projects in Nuevo León. To counteract potential impacts, the state government has allocated resources for the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as for the development of green energy.

"We are going to invest heavily in financing for small and medium-sized enterprises and in renewable energies. We will also focus on tourism with a credit program aimed at the World Cup, so that tourism companies can develop and expand," stated Emmanuel Loo, head of the state Secretary of Economy.

Nuevo León seeks to promote exports to markets such as the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America, identified as potential destinations for the state’s industrial sector. Another key strategy is the promotion of the brand Made in Nuevo León, focusing on three pillars: boosting the consumption of local products, strengthening internal supply, and providing financing to SMEs to facilitate exports to Europe, Asia, and other markets.

Although some Asian companies are showing caution, the foreign direct investment outlook in Nuevo León remains positive. The region sees growth opportunities despite global challenges, and the state government is working on measures to strengthen the local economy and the industrial sector.
