Estadio Azteca transforms into Estadio Banorte

Estadio Azteca is preparing for a new phase of modernization and financial autonomy, marked by an investment of more than 2 billion pesos and a strategic alliance with Banorte. With the approach of the 2026 World Cup, the venue is consolidating as a key site worldwide.

This renovation, which will include the name change to Estadio Banorte, represents a significant milestone in the venue's history, symbolizing a fusion of tradition and modernity. The new phase of the stadium will provide marketing opportunities for Banorte within its facilities, strengthening its position as a sports reference point.

As Estadio Azteca prepares to host its third FIFA World Cup, companies such as Kypcon Ingenieros Civiles, ICAPSA Infrastructure, and others are facing a payment crisis from Ingenieros Civiles Asociados (ICA) and its subsidiaries. These companies are on the brink of bankruptcy due to not receiving more than 136 million pesos owed, putting jobs and projects in the construction sector at risk.

The lack of liquidity in companies like the ones mentioned highlights the importance of savings and financial stability in Mexico. Data from the National Survey on Financial Health reveals that only 52% of adults save, while a significant percentage faces debts and delayed payments. In this context, initiatives like the partnerships of the sofipo Libertad with educational institutions aim to promote financial education among young Mexicans to improve their ability to make informed decisions about their economic future, contributing to enhancing their quality of life.
