The company Alfa is making progress in its value release strategy by initiating the process for the spin-off of Alpek. Market analysts expect the company to report a positive outcome during the third quarter of the year.

According to Alejandra Vargas, analyst at Grupo Financiero Ve Por Más (GFBX+), Alfa will present a positive report, as it has made progress in its value release plan. In the quarter, shareholders approved a capital increase of seven thousand 952 million pesos (mdp) to be allocated to debt prepayment.

Vargas estimated sales in the quarter at 79 thousand 488 mdp, representing an 11% increase compared to 71 thousand 606 mdp in the third quarter of last year. She also indicated that the operating cash flow is estimated at seven thousand 944 mdp, with an annual increase of 24.9%.

The analysis department of Intercam Casa de Bolsa mentioned that Alfa has taken concrete steps to achieve its value unlocking strategy through the spin-off of Alpek. Once this strategy is implemented, Sigma would be independently listed.

According to the analysis department of Vector Casa de Bolsa, sales are projected at 76 thousand 918 mdp, an increase of 7.4% compared to the third quarter of last year. Regarding operating cash flow, they estimated an amount of six thousand 930 mdp, which would imply an annual increase of 8.9%.
