There are only a few days left for elderly people to receive the last payment of the Pension for Wellbeing corresponding to the year 2024, which corresponds to the November-December bimonthly period. During the morning conference on Monday, October 28, the head of the Ministry of Wellbeing announced that the payment schedule will be published next Monday, November 4, coinciding with the first deposit. The disbursement of support is made according to the letters of the first paternal surname.
In the same conference, progress was reported on the initiative to elevate the Wellbeing Pension to constitutional rank by modifying Article 4, which guarantees this right to people aged 65 and older.
The current amount of the Pension for elderly people will remain at 6 thousand pesos bimonthly for the last deposit of the year. It is expected that by 2025 there will be a gradual increase in the first bimonthly payment. The deposit is made through the Wellbeing card to improve the situation of the elderly.
The requirements to be a beneficiary of this program are to be 65 years or older, be of Mexican nationality, have a birth certificate, voter ID, CURP, proof of address, and the properly filled Unique Wellbeing Format. Priority will be given to the attention of elderly people in municipalities with indigenous populations or high marginalization.
The dates and schedule for the registration to the Wellbeing Pension will be announced through the official channels of the Ministry of Wellbeing or the head of the agency, Ariadna Montiel.
