The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) has opened a vacancy with a monthly salary of 63 thousand pesos for a position in the Subdirectorate of Social Statistics and Violence against Women. The selected person will be responsible for directing and supervising the statistical and geographical activities of national interest and/or official public information, coordinating the personnel under their charge, as well as the administrative and technical projects in their area.
"Defining the design of technical and methodological tools for the generation of derived social statistics" is one of the tasks described in the announcement, with the aim of providing systematized information for the corresponding public policies. Furthermore, the candidate is expected to provide frameworks for the analysis of results in the area of general and specific social statistics, so that state units can effectively use this information in their policies.
Among the requirements are being a Mexican citizen or a foreigner with the appropriate immigration status, not having been convicted of an intentional crime with a custodial sentence, having the necessary aptitude for public service, among others. It is also required to have a bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative social research, statistical analysis and methodology, design of information collection instruments, as well as preparation of documents on gender issues, gender statistics, public policies, violence against women or human rights, and personnel supervision.
The registration and enrollment for the competition will be carried out through the Professional Career Service portal of INEGI on the Internet. Interested parties have until November 12 to register, and subsequently, from the 13th to the 26th of the same month, the curricular evaluation will take place.
