This Buen Fin season, Bodega Aurrera has gained ground, becoming the leader in store purchases, especially in categories like computing and electronics, where it reaches a 34% consumption intention, and in white goods and furniture, with 28%.
Coppel, for its part, occupies the second position as the favorite destination for Buen Fin shopping, with a 62% consumption intention in clothing and footwear, and a significant 67% in the purchase of white goods and furniture. Despite not participating directly in Buen Fin, Walmart ranks third, being sought after by Mexicans through its offers in the "Irresistible Sale," with high demand for computing and electronics, reaching 30%.
Regarding online purchases during Buen Fin, Amazon is positioned as the leader in the acquisition of computing and electronics products, with 85% of searches, and also in makeup and perfumery, with 67%. Mercado Libre ranks second as a favorite platform for acquiring clothing and shoes, while Coppel stands out in white goods, furniture, clothing, and footwear. Bodega Aurrera occupies the fourth position in digital purchases, highlighting in white goods, furniture, and computing and electronics items, followed by Liverpool in the fifth position, with excellent sales anticipated in makeup, perfumery, computing, and electronics.
Buen Fin 2024 will be characterized by an increase in cash and advance payments, with a record 63% of purchases made this way. There is a decrease in credit card payments, with cash and debit card payments being preferred. Regarding the budget allocated for purchases, an average maximum spending of four thousand 669.79 pesos in online shopping and seven thousand 304.25 pesos in physical stores is expected, representing a significant increase compared to previous years.
The Kantar report reveals that the travel category will benefit during Buen Fin, as 45% of Mexicans plan to travel in the coming months, with an average expenditure of 13 thousand 606.45 pesos. Despite inflation, 92% of people plan to make purchases during this campaign, highlighting a high intention to buy clothing and footwear, followed by computing and electronics equipment. The intention to purchase white goods or furniture shows a slight decrease; however, it remains one of the favorite categories. Other categories such as cosmetics, perfumery, toys, children's products, groceries, and video games also show notable demand during Buen Fin.
