Nuevo León Optimizes Training and Employment

The Secretary of Labor of Nuevo León, Federico Rojas Veloquio, highlights the achievements in training and employment in the state, despite the pandemic that caused the loss of 200 thousand jobs. Thousands of courses have been offered and support has been provided to entrepreneurs, achieving an 85% resolution rate in labor conflicts.


Nuevo León Optimizes Training and Employment

The Secretary of Labor in Nuevo León, Federico Rojas Veloquio, highlighted the importance of a reengineering in training and employment due to the situation generated by the pandemic. He emphasized the efficiency of the Labor Defense Attorney's Office, having concluded more than 82% of the 20,878 cases received to date.

Although Nuevo León is a national leader in job creation, nearly 200,000 jobs were lost in the state during the pandemic, according to Rojas Veloquio. Over three years of administration and two years of labor reform, the number of pending cases stood at 3,714, demonstrating an effectiveness of 82.22%.

During his tenure, various actions have been promoted in terms of training and employment. More than 24,184 courses have been offered through the Institute of Training and Education for Work (ICET), benefiting thousands of individuals in areas such as taxi operation, forklift operation, and urban transportation. In addition, courses on social media management, content generation, English, among others, have been delivered, reaching over 14,062 individuals.

The Secretary of Labor has collaborated with more than 316 entrepreneurs through the Self-Employment Promotion program, supporting successful productive projects. Training has been provided in various areas to over 55,594 individuals, including skills in artificial intelligence and data analysis.

Rojas Veloquio also emphasized the importance of maintaining a stable work environment, with 26 years of labor peace in the state. More than 131,688 conciliation hearings have been held through the Labor Conciliation Center, successfully resolving 85% of cases efficiently thanks to the work of the conciliators.

The Secretary of Labor highlighted the need to continue preparing the workforce for market changes, especially in areas such as digital skills, health, and workplace safety. Targeted job fairs have been organized for each sector, aiming to meet labor demand inclusively and equitably.
