The closure of the highway coincides with one of the days of highest mobility due to the start of the vacation period, which has caused complications for motorists heading to Puebla, Veracruz, and other destinations. Reports from journalist Joaquín López-Dóriga detail that the incident involved a truck whose cabin caught fire, apparently while transporting material, which intensified the risk in the area. Federal Roads and Bridges (Capufe) personnel are working at the site to control the fire and remove the damaged vehicle, while the closure remains in effect in both directions. Authorities are advising drivers to take alternative routes. In response to the situation, authorities have recommended that motorists use the federal highway Mexico-Puebla as an alternative route to avoid getting stuck. They also called for driving with caution and checking the mechanical conditions of vehicles before hitting the road, especially during this period of high traffic.
