At the center of the scandal is Mexican singer Ana Bárbara, whose marriage is under threat due to an alleged witchcraft plot. According to businessman Francisco Cantú, his former friend Adriana Toval orchestrated a ritual aimed at destroying her family. The footage shows elements he describes as "diabolical": red candles, a demon figurine, locks, and even a wooden phallus. It also mentions the use of a substance resembling "rotten blood," though experts suggest it might be "melao," a sugarcane syrup used in rituals. Toval allegedly even put antifreeze in Muñoz's food because she was "fed up." As divorce rumors grow, esoteric expert Jesús Levy states the ritual was "poorly focused" and is unlikely to have any real effect. The situation has put Ana Bárbara at the center of a media storm, and her fundraiser for her mother's medical treatment has reached 5 million pesos.
