A preliminary magnitude 5.7 earthquake with an epicenter in Oaxaca was felt this afternoon in Mexico City. According to the National Seismological Service (SSN), the tremor was located 14 km northeast of Puerto Escondido and was recorded at 15:42:11 this Sunday, February 8. Head of Government of CDMX, Clara Brugada, reported that: “following the earthquake of magnitude 5.7 with an epicenter in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, it has been reported that, for the moment, there is no damage reported. We ask the population to report any incidents to 911”.
