In Mexico City and the State of Mexico, the 'Hoy No Circula' program is in effect to improve air quality. This program restricts vehicle circulation based on the color of the sticker on the windshield and the last digit of the license plate. The only exception is for vehicles with holograms 00 and 0, which may circulate every day. The restriction is in force from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM and applies to the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and 18 neighboring municipalities. When ozone levels exceed 150 points, a 'Double Hoy No Circula' is implemented, doubling the number of vehicles that must remain off the road, including some with hologram 0. On Wednesday, March 27th, vehicles with a blue sticker and license plates ending in 0 or 9 are not allowed to circulate. This rule also applies to vehicles with verification holograms 1 and 2, including those from out of town. It is expected to be a sunny day. Please remember that on Friday, March 27th, the program is in effect. If you plan to go out by car, be sure to keep these restrictions in mind. For metro passengers, please note that on Friday, Line 2 will be under construction, and an RTP bus service will be available for several stations.
