Honoring the Farewell to Our Pets

Saying goodbye to our beloved pets is a process that has gained a special place in the hearts of many Mexican families. Today, Bye Bye Friend ensures that the ashes coming home are those of that unique being who accompanied us with so much love. Farewell is undoubtedly an essential part of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, the sanctuary offers future plans, allowing people to plan ahead and purchase a service at a special price, so that when the time comes, they are accompanied by a specialized team that will help them say goodbye in the most loving way possible.

Bye Bye Friend offers the opportunity to honor the life and love shared, to say farewell with the certainty that our companions have been cared for and remembered as part of our family. In the past, saying goodbye to a pet was not possible in this way; often, they ended up in communal cremations or simply forgotten.

On October 27th, as is tradition, an altar will be set up to receive these faithful companions, who visit us once again in spirit, with their favorite food waiting for them. In Mexico, when the difficult moment of closing the life cycle of these beings who have filled our homes with love arrives, there are funeral services that allow us to do so in a respectful and grateful manner.

Dogs and cats, once seen only as pets, have now become beloved members of our families. Some call them "dog children" or "cat children," but the truth is that the connection and affection we share with them have profoundly transformed coexistence in our homes. According to statistics, there are about 23 million pets in Mexico, but only 5.4 million have a permanent home.

The importance of responsible pet ownership and the right to give them a dignified goodbye has taken on vital significance in our society. Aware of this deep bond, J. García López has created Bye Bye Friend, the first funeral sanctuary for pets, a unique experience designed by expert thanatologists to accompany us on the final journey of our friends.

This sanctuary offers a process filled with love and respect, starting with the collection of the pet in a special hearse and continuing with comprehensive support, where guides accompany families. In the viewing room, people can say goodbye to their faithful companion calmly and surrounded by affection before heading to the garden to participate in a deeply emotional ritual.

Inspired by the legend of Nin e Inana, this ceremony allows families to channel their emotions, express gratitude for the time shared, and honor the crossing of the rainbow alongside the tree of the guardians, a symbol of the transition of their loved one. Special moments such as writing the "Heart Letter" and sharing the "Soul Healing Tea" provide families with a space to express their gratitude and remember their life companion with love.
