Military Personnel Take Charge in Security Department

The Secretary of Public Security of the state of Puebla, Francisco Sánchez, announced that 60 members of the corporation were dismissed due to irregular acts and corruption that were already being investigated since previous administrations. These areas of responsibility are now in charge of personnel coming from the Armed Forces.

In an interview, Francisco Sánchez explained that when diagnosing the situation within the Secretariat, it was determined that the 60 members in question were already being investigated by the previous administration, which is why their dismissal was decided, following the decision of the previous Commission of Honor and Justice.

The Secretary of Public Security pointed out that the current government has continued with the established processes and has carried out a comprehensive diagnosis of the operation of the agency. Instead of severing personnel, the focus has been on adding those with experience, while also making adjustments in the undersecretaries and directors.

Regarding senior management, it was reported that the institution currently has four undersecretaries, a Chief of Staff, and twelve marine directors with extensive experience in the field. Sánchez emphasized that the personnel who decided to stay have integrated into the work team with the goal of strengthening and improving the operation of the Secretariat.

The Secretary also highlighted that those members who have left the Secretariat did so by their own decision, while those who continue in their roles are committed to strengthening the agency's work in public security.
