Disappearance of Young People in Oaxaca Raises Concern

The Attorney General of Oaxaca, Bernardo Rodríguez Alamilla, revealed during the weekly conference that three vehicles have been located in which the missing youths were traveling on the coast of Oaxaca. These vehicles were found in Ejutla de Crespo, near the detour towards the Barranca Larga-Ventanilla highway last weekend.

Investigations are ongoing to determine if the vehicles contain any clues that could help locate the missing individuals. It was confirmed that the last signal from the cell phone of one of the missing youths was registered in the community of Río Grande, in the coastal area.

The Oaxacan Attorney mentioned: "Six of the youths had criminal records. We, as the authorities, continue with the investigations, as we are interested in knowing what happened to these youths." Despite families and friends initially mentioning that there were 14 missing youths, authorities maintain that seven reports have officially been filed by family members.

It has been indicated that the missing youths resided in the neighborhoods of San Martín Mexicapam, Montoya, and Atzompa, in the city of Oaxaca. Families and friends continue to call for their prompt location and the implementation of concrete actions in the search for the missing.
