In a coordinated action with the support of the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City, the National Defense Secretariat and the National Guard, the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) carried out an operation in a property in the Benito Juárez borough where two individuals were arrested and 189 doses of drugs, one handgun, a magazine, and 10 cartridges were secured.

During the operation, authorities secured 189 doses of drugs, 500 grams of marijuana, one firearm, and 10 cartridges. The Secretary of Citizen Security, Pablo Vázquez Camacho, reported on the operation that was conducted.

The arrest was made of Daniel ‘N’, known as “El Tigre”, a member of the criminal group “La Unión Tepito” and main financial operator, and an accomplice identified as Jesús “N”. Authorities implemented fixed and mobile surveillance in the area, as well as reconnaissance patrols.

“A coordinated operation was implemented, which was carried out without the use of violence and in strict adherence to police operational protocols, as well as respect for human rights,” the statement details. After their arrest, they were made available to the Public Ministry to determine their legal situation.

The action took place in a property located on Jesús Urueta street, in the La Moderna neighborhood, where it was suspected that drugs were being stored and packaged. According to the statement issued by the SSC, this arrest is part of a broader investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics in the capital.
