As a result of an operation conducted within the framework of the fight against organized crime in Mexico, no less than 56 bodies were discovered, buried in mass graves in the north of the country, not far from the border with the United States. According to the general prosecutor's office, the remains were found during a search of one of the illegal burial sites.
Experts stated that they are working on identifying the discovered bodies and establishing the cause of their death. Officials emphasized that this discovery may be linked to the activities of cartels, whose bands operate in the region.
The general prosecutor's office also noted that this horrifying discovery underscores the need to strengthen efforts in the fight against crime in Mexico and to ensure the safety of citizens.
