Investigations into the television show 'Who is the Mask?' seem to have come to an end after two weeks of strong allegations of leaks against some of the participating talents in the project. The scandal began on January 13 when TVyNovelas magazine published on its cover that Anahí was being investigated by TelevisaUnivision for allegedly violating her confidentiality contract. A week later, Galilea Montijo was pointed out as the next involved, leading both to sever professional ties with their public relations agency.
This week, TVyNovelas chose not to mention the issue on its cover, focusing attention on other matters such as the case of Imelda Tuñón, Maribel Guardia's daughter-in-law, accused of abandoning her child. The absence of any reference to the scandal in 'Who is the Mask?' raises questions about whether it has been decided to abandon the case entirely or if it will be revisited in the future.
On the other hand, Gilberto Barrera, director of TVyNovelas, mentioned in a radio broadcast that publicist Danna Vázquez would be seeking revenge against him following the unleashed scandal. However, Danna denied these accusations in a press release, stating that she is not a resentful person. It remains to be seen whether the journalist will address the topic in his other workspaces.
