Escobedo Aims to Enhance Security with Federal Collaboration

The mayor of Escobedo, Andrés Mijes, confirmed his administration's willingness to collaborate with the Federal Government in the fight against crime and the reduction of insecurity rates in Nuevo León. Mijes shared that after the arrival of Omar Escobar Figueroa in the State, he invited the commissioner of the Secretariat of Citizen Security and Protection in Nuevo León to exchange views on the actions and programs that have led Escobedo to stand out in security.

During the meeting, Mijes explained to Escobar Figueroa the strategies implemented in Escobedo, such as Civic Justice, investment in technology, and the philosophy of "caring for those who care for us," which have ensured the protection of citizens in the State and could be replicated in other municipalities nationwide. The mayor emphasized the importance of collaboration among different levels of government to strengthen security.

During the visit, the commissioner toured the facilities of the Citizen Security Secretariat of Escobedo and closely learned about the Security Model that has been adopted by other municipalities nationwide. Mijes highlighted the importance of demonstrating the functioning of tools such as Virtual Simulators, the Research and Analysis area, as well as Proxpol, for the training of personnel and the improvement of local security.

The mayor emphasized that Escobedo is prepared to collaborate with the Federation in implementing new security strategies, thanks to the use of advanced technologies and intelligence work to protect communities. Additionally, the high-tech Surveillance Drones program was presented, used to combat crime and locate individuals with thermal vision.

Mijes pointed out that collaboration is essential to promote the security policy that is needed in the country, focused on shared well-being. The government model of the 4T Norteña promotes cooperation and joint work to achieve the security objectives set by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo in the Mexico Plan. In the words of the mayor, "those who work seriously for security will bet on collaboration and the pooling of efforts."
