
According to a survey by El Financiero, five of the seven secretaries in President Claudia Sheinbaum's cabinet received high levels of approval from the national public opinion. The Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, achieved a 63% favorable opinion, followed by the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, with 61%. The Secretary of Women, Citlalli Hernández, reached a 59% approval rating, and the Secretary of Public Education, Mario Delgado, obtained 58%.
The survey revealed that the evaluation of the cabinet varied according to the educational level of the respondents. Those with basic or secondary education tended to evaluate the secretaries more positively, while university graduates gave them a less favorable rating. For example, Marcelo Ebrard received a 65% favorable opinion among people with basic education, 64% among respondents with secondary education, and 58% among university graduates.
Regarding the Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, her approval reached 57%. Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Secretary of Foreign Relations, achieved a 56% approval rating, and Rogelio Ramírez de la O, Secretary of Finance and Public Credit, obtained 51% favorable opinions.
The survey was conducted nationally through telephone interviews with 900 adult Mexicans between January 8 and 14 and between January 23 and 27, 2025. The margin of error for the estimates is +/-3.3%, with a confidence level of 95%.
