The former governor of Morelos, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, reiterated that he will not request a leave of absence as a federal deputy, as he believes that the accusations against him are false and he is willing to face them head-on. He referred to the accusations made by his half-sister, emphasizing that he deeply rejects the crime he is accused of.
Regarding the alleged relationship with his half-sister, Cuauhtémoc Blanco admitted that she lived in the same residence where he resided, but assured that he has seen her on a few occasions over six years. Blanco emphatically denied any kind of family relationship with the person who accuses him of attempted rape.
Concerning the former attorney general of Morelos, Uriel Carmona, Blanco mentioned that he filed a complaint for extortion against him with the Attorney General's Office. He pointed out as a "coincidence" that one day after filing this complaint, a request for his immunity was made.
At a press conference, Cuauhtémoc Blanco was accompanied by his legal team and the former Secretary of Government, Samuel Sotelo Salgado. He asserted that he is a victim of persecution by the former attorney general, who, according to him, warned him about the existence of folders against him. One of his lawyers stated that Blanco will not rest until he takes Carmona to jail.
Blanco also expressed his concern about the use of legal procedures with possible political motivations, instead of acting objectively and in accordance with the law. He emphasized that throughout his sports and political career, he has always acted respecting human rights and the dignity of all people, rejecting any accusations against him.
