Transparent Selection Process for New Officials in Jalisco

The Government of the State of Jalisco is working in close collaboration with the CPS Jalisco to analyze profiles and make decisions about appointments. Secretary Cynthia Cantero Pacheco indicated that the final decision will primarily be made in monthly meetings with Governor Pablo Lemus and groups searching for missing persons and their families.

The process of evaluating profiles will include quantifying skills such as leadership, communication, and strategic vision. Once the stages are completed, CPS Jalisco will prepare a report on the suitability of each profile to be sent to the Chief of Cabinet and the Secretary of Planning and Citizen Participation.

After a meeting in December 2024, it was agreed to install five Governance Tables to follow up on agreements with groups searching for missing persons. The Government of Jalisco assures its commitment to work with them for the benefit of the community.

The selection process for the heads of the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences and the Technical Secretariat of the State Executive Commission for Victim Assistance will be carried out with high standards of transparency, impartiality, and citizen participation. The Chief of Cabinet and the Secretary of Planning are leading this process with the support of the CPS of the State Anti-Corruption System.

Secretary Cynthia Cantero Pacheco emphasized the importance of the participation of groups and families in decision-making. Arturo Antonio Ríos Bojórquez from CPS Jalisco detailed that the selection methodology will take place from February 17 to 21 and will include evaluations of various stages.

The methodology will cover the review of files, analysis of professional experience, presentation of reasons, integrity, and interviews, among other aspects. Candidates will propose their vision to the Social Participation Committee during interviews, as part of the selection process.
