Alba M.C, former municipal president of Martires de Tacubaya in the coastal region of Oaxaca, has been detained and accused of a drug-related offense, according to the Attorney General's Office of the State of Oaxaca (FGEO). The arrest occurred during a security patrol in the Reforma neighborhood of the municipality, which belongs to the Jamiltepec district in the coastal region.
The former coastal official was arrested in collaboration with the Secretary of National Defense, the National Guard, and the State Police. It was reported that Alba M.C was carrying drugs at the time of her arrest. According to the report, investigative agents noticed suspicious behavior from the woman, who was riding a motorcycle with another person and tried to flee upon realizing the police presence.
Despite her attempt to escape, she was apprehended by state and federal forces. During the inspection, various doses of drugs known as crystal were found among her belongings. In addition to her arrest, the motorcycle she was riding was confiscated and was placed at the disposal of the prosecuting authority to resolve her legal situation.
