
In the framework of the Second Meeting of Governors of the Western Zone of Mexico, the governor of Aguascalientes, Tere Jiménez, met with her counterparts from Jalisco, Zacatecas, Nayarit, and Colima, along with the commander of the V Military Region, military leaders of the National Guard, Public Security, and District Attorneys from the five states. The aim was to follow up on joint actions and strategies to ensure security in the region, in collaboration with the Mexican Army.
The meeting took place at the facilities of the 14th Military Zone, where Tere Jiménez emphasized the importance of maintaining effective coordination among the three levels of government to achieve better results in maintaining peace and tranquility, both locally and nationally.
The governor of Aguascalientes highlighted public security indicators that position her state as one of the safest in the country, also presenting the results of the Security and Justice Plan “Blindaje Aguascalientes”, which is the guiding axis in local public security.
Among the main topics addressed in the meeting, the reinforcement of borders and highways connecting the entities of the region was highlighted. The results of the strategies agreed upon in the first meeting, held in Zacatecas, were analyzed and new actions were established to strengthen security operations in the area.
