Judicial Discipline Tribunal's Investigation Commission Installed

On Tuesday, amid a social climate demanding accountability and institutional cleansing, the Investigation Commission of the Judicial Discipline Tribunal was formally installed. This body is responsible for reviewing and tracking complaints against public servants of the Judicial Branch.

The new commission will be chaired by Magistrate Bernardo Bátiz Vázquez, with Magistrate Eva Verónica de Gyvés Zárate and Magistrate Rufino H. León Tovar. The three have taken on the challenge of restoring credibility to an institution that has been accused on various fronts of nepotism, influence peddling, and administrative omissions.

During the inaugural session, Bátiz Vázquez emphasized that justice can only exist when each person receives what is due to them: "Punishment for the guilty and protection of the rights of those who claim it," said the magistrate.

"Every complaint will be reviewed with rigor and respect for the guarantees of those involved," he specified, reiterating that the goal is to regain public confidence in the Judicial Branch.

As guest of honor, the president of the Discipline Tribunal, Magistrate Celia Maya, recognized the importance of this institutional step.

"To investigate is to seek the truth in the facts," she said firmly, stressing that any inquiry must be based on ethics, integrity, and respect for due process.

Meanwhile, Magistrate De Gyvés Zárate highlighted that the Commission will work with coordination and objectivity, assuring that the main commitment is to Mexican society.
